Sprint Announces Sierra Wireless AirCard 402

Sprint has a brand new Sierra Wireless AirCard 402 for the masses that caters to users of either PC Card or ExpressCard slots without discrimination, since this is an ExpressCard-based design that comes with a PC Card shell, offering you the best of both worlds without having to worry about picking up another adapter just in case your computer isn’t compatible. Looks like the perfect device to have if you are running on older systems or newer, smaller notebooks/netbooks that come with an ExpressCard slot. Chances are you won’t find the AirCard 402 wanting in speed as it supports EV-DO Rev. A that is touted to hit “typical upload speeds of 350-500 Kbps with peak speeds of 1.8 Mbps and typical download speeds of 600 Kbps – 1.4 Mbps with peak speeds of 3.1 Mbps where EV-DO Revision A is available.” It will cost you $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate to bring home the Sierra Wireless AirCard 402.
