Two Apple Devices for Verizon: Real or Just Powder For AT&T's Eyes?

Rumors about Apple coming with two devices for the Verizon network has been spreading like wildfire, even if it’s supported only by alleged information from “people familiar with the matter”. The first device would be a giant iPod, also commonly called a small tablet. Steve jobs himself was reportedly working on such a device. Secondly, there’s a mention of an iPhone lite, which might be the iPod nano, last seen in the hands of a Yeti.

Some say that this is just a ploy from Apple to get AT&T to do more concessions on a possible contract renewal. Other say that it is true. The thing is: it could be both. The possibility of an iPod nano is something that we talked about on the day the original iPhone came out. an iPhone nano is the device that could take Apple to the next level because a much lower price (free with subsidies?) would increase the volumes dramatically for devices, applications and music/video sales.

As for the tablet, it has been mentioned that it could use the LTE next-gen network, but we think that this is just wishful thinking. Apple will go for an established network infrastructure.
