Waterproof OLED Display

OLED displays are the future, and Ito Electronics has come up with a waterproof version that was being paraded at Finetech Japan 2009. It relies on a special packaging technology that enables the OLED display to function underwater, although we’re not sure for how long it will be able to last in that environment and up to what depth. Does this mean we’ll be able to see more and more underwater-based devices sport OLED screens in the future? Perhaps, if the entry cost is not too hard on the pockets.
