T-Mobile G1 users in the UK already have access to the Android 1.5 update, but U.S-based customers will have to wait until next week, says a T-Mobile representative: “T-Mobile USA is excited to offer its T-Mobile G1 customers new software updates, including Android 1.5. Starting at the end of next week”. Here are the updates highlights:
- Virtual keyboard (portrait/landscape)
- Video recording
- Uploads to YouTube and Picasa
- And much more
We’re glad that they fixed the lack of QWERTY keyboard as it was a bit idiotic. There’s a ton of new features and APIs, so check the Android release page for a complete list. [via T-Mobile]
