Apple Works On iTunes Kiosks

Apple wants to increase their dominance in the world of portable media by filing a patent back in 2007 concerning a ‘media distribution kiosk with virtual connector for interfacing with a personal media device’. In short, this is a vending machine that allows you to purchase music and videos from it, so hopefully such kiosks will be available before the year is over so that you don’t need to head to the nearest Starbucks or download stuff from a computer anymore. It will definitely be more convenient to purchase media then, but will people use the service even more despite the bleak economic outlook?
