Awesome GreenGT Electric Race Car

I don’t think that I’m a “car guy”, but one has to admit that the design of this electric race car is stunning. This prototype is built with high-tech materials (carbon, fiberglass). it has 400hp, 100 kW electric motors (water-cooled, please) that can push the car to a 171mph/275kmh maximum speed. It goes from 0 to 62mph/100kmh in less than 4 seconds.

The plan is to race with it at Le Mans in 2011, then build 22 cars that will go on the road. Fun fact: there’s a solar panel, but how much do you think it’s going to help? [GreenGT site]
