Best Buy to Launch Palm Pre in Two Phases

There has been rumors yesterday about Best Buy Mobile having low inventory for the Palm Pre launch. According to BGR, the rumor might be true and Best Buy Mobile will launch in two phases: Phase 1 will be from June to July with super low inventory and very little promotion. Stores have been warned that “customer demand will outweigh inventory and stores may go weeks after launch with little or no replenishment.” Stores instruction are as follow: Pre will not be sold early, no hold lists before the launch, and each customer will get only one device, no employee purchase until August . Tickets will be used to handle the lines on launch day and people who cannot get the Pre will end up on a waiting list.
