
Word on the street has it that the BlackBerry Storm 2 is in the works, and this word comes from no other than Jim Balsillie himself, who mentioned to Reuters that “we have next-generation devices with [touch] and the whole roadmap.” After all, something like the BlackBerry Storm 2 certainly won’t hurt RIM’s case when it comes to maintaining their lead at the top of the heap from the last quarter, assuming the Storm 2 will feature a host of significant improvements and additions. We have no idea on when the Storm 2 will be released, but some sources point toward a September 2009 date.
