Buffalo DVSM-U24FBS DVD SuperMulti Drive

Buffalo has just introduced its latest DVSM-U24FBS DVD SuperMulti Drive that not only offers recording of up to 24x DVD±Rs, it also does something most decent DVD players in your living room would do – basic upscaling of any video DVDs to 1080/60p. Just before you rub your hands in glee at taking advantage of this feature by simply upgrading your optical drive, take note that you will need a minimum hardware specification of an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5GHz or Turion64x2 1.8GHz processor – and as we all know, minimum specifications can be painfully slow when in operation. This new DVD drive will hit the Japan market at the end of this month for €44.
