GyPSii: Location Based Digital Diary for iPhone

Another day, another iPhone app… Gypsii is a social networking app that leverages the iPhone’s GPS capabilities, allowing users to create and share their travel diary on the go with geotagged content. Through GyPSii CONNECT, social addicts can access other social networks such as Facebook and Twitter and share their status, newly created places and friends there as well.

The application has launched today on Apple app store and it is already available on other phones from Samsung, LG, Nokia and Blackberry, it can be downloaded at www.gypsii.com/m. The application is available in English and Chinese. Check out the video to see how it works, there are plans to add other languages shortly.

According to Shane Lennon GyPSii ,SVP Product Management and Marketing: “iPhone has blazed the trail for how mobile phones are being used today. Our next generation UX (user experience), has been created after close study of how people want to create content, share it and connect with others while on the move.”

iPhone: iPhone: The iPhone is Apple's line of smartphones. That was also the original name of the first iPhone, which was announced on January 9th 2007 by Steve Jobs during the Macworld Keynote. The iPhone was released to the public in June of the same year. The development of the iPhone started in 2004, was internally called "project purple" and was the fruit of a collaboration between Apple and AT&T. Since then, Apple has released new iPhone models every year, with the iPhone 3G in July 2008, the iPhone 3GS in June 2009, the iPhone 4 in June 2010, the iPhone 4S in October 2011 and the iPhone 5 in September 2012. The iPhone represented more than half of Apple's revenues in 2012.
