H2O must’ve missed the memo concerning the 2nd generation iPod Shuffle being discontinued as they have just updated their iSH2 headphones with the Interval, an $80 package that includes a hard plastic, watertight iPod Shuffle 2G case complete with a headband and cone-shaped waterproof headphones. The Interval will do away with the headband, while the headphones are replaced with the ones based on Surge without raising the price by a single cent. It is meant to be used by swimmers only, and will have to be attached to a pair of swimming goggles that is mounted right smack behind the user’s head. Bear in mind the iPod Shuffle needs to be turned on/off only when the case is opened, but you do have access to the other controls even when sealed. Each purchase comes with 5 sets of rubber tips to fit just about anyone’s ears.
