HiFiMAN HM-801 Portable Audio Player

Portable media players (PMPs) these days do come with a pair of built-in speakers, but as many of you can testify, these speakers don’t amount to much when it comes to delivering gorgeous sound. The HiFiMAN HM-801 does things differently though, as this PMP features an integrated amplifier in the form of a Burr-Brown PCM1704U DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) chip, allowing it to handle AAC, FLAC, WMA lossless, WMA, OGG, WAV and MP3 files. Sounds good and all, but hopefully future iterations will see the 8 hour battery life improved.
