Talk about one of the weirder naming conventions around – iRiver has just released its newest portable media player (PMP) known as the P.ple P7 in Korea, where it will feature a graphical user interface that has a magazine-look layout. Features include a 4.3″ WQVGA LCD touchscreen display, support for a wide range of video file formats, enough battery life to keep it playing audio for up to 35 hours before requiring a recharge, and a choice between 8GB and 16GB internal memory. Other staples include an integrated FM radio, photo/text viewer, a voice recorder and a micoSD memory card slot. While it won’t overwhelm the iPod by any means, it is a decent effort from iRiver.
