Microsoft And Netflix Team Up

Microsoft and Netflix have come to an agreement to offer over 12,000 movies and TV episodes for instant viewing in the Windows Media Center environment, as long as the PCs involved are powered by Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows Vista Home Premium. Those who can’t wait to access the new service can do so by clicking the new Netflix tile under “TV + Movies”. Bear in mind you will still need a Netflix subscription in order to make full use of this service. The backbone of Microsoft’s new Netflix streaming solution for Windows Media Center is based on the former’s Silverlight technology, where the software will intelligently download and self-install if it detects that a system doesn’t already have.
