MSI has begun to ship the X-Slim X340 within the US, where it will set you back by $900. At that price, you can expect to tote the following :-

• Intel Core 2 Solo 1.4GHz processor
• 2GB RAM
• 320GB hard drive
• Wi-Fi connectivity
• 1.3-megapixel webcam
• Bluetooth support
• 4-cell battery

According to MSI, the reason why there is no larger battery pack is the Intel chip that sucks up 1/6 the energy of a regular notebook, but if you insist on having one, there is an 8-cell battery option.
