MSI has just announced two more notebooks that could see the MacBook Air’s dominance in the super slim notebook market come to an end – the 14″ X400 and 15″ X600 will offer much more than the current 13″ X340 while being powered by Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processors for superior performance compared to a netbook without jacking up the price point while prolonging battery life. Very little else is known about either system, but MSI will offer a display with 16:9 ratio, LED-backlit displays, Blu-ray capable graphics when connected to an external drive, with more battery options for both models – 8-cell for the X400 and a 9-cell for the X600. No idea on pricing as at press time.
