NEC VersaPro UltraLite Type VS Is Lightest In The World

At least that’s what NEC claims, with the VersaPro UltraLite Type VS tipping the scales at a mere 725 grams, making it 100 grams lighter than previous models. The innards are stored within a high strength and lightweight magnesium die-cast chassis, and there is not enough room for a hard drive within – which means you will have to settle for SSD as the only storage medium of choice. The processor itself does not come with a heat sink, so you can imagine that this won’t be powerful enough to run games at top frame rates by any means. There is no touch pad, so you will have to use the old school pointing stick right smack in the middle of the keyboard instead. Other features include a trio of USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity as well as an SD memory card slot. Battery life has been rated at 4.1 hours thereabouts. [Translated Page]
