Someone who claims to be close to the iPhone hardware team has approached website appleiphoneapps with the alleged specifications for the next-gen iPhone due in June.
- 2x RAM and CPU speed
- 1.5x improvement in battery life
- 16GB ($199) and 32GB ($299) of storage
- 3.2 Megapixel camera
- MMS support, Video recording + editing
- OLED display (wow!)
- FM Transmitter
- Compass, GPS photo tags, Turn-by-turn directions
- Glowy Apple logo in the back
In misc design changes, the metallic band around the edge would be gone… why not? There are a few things that bother us in this list. First, the 2x processor speed bump seems fishy, especially when it is paired with a 1.5x improvement in battery life. Secondly, how can the battery life be so much better with a stupid glowing Apple logo in the back! We do hope that the next iPhone will have an OLED display, it would be so nice…
