Panasonic has set for itself the goal of launching a large (40″) OLED TV by next year. To achieve that goal, the company will partner with Sumitomo Chemical to design an economically viable large OLED TV. and by all accounts, that’s not a lot of time – but both companies must have a solid plan before doing this grand announcement (we hope). OLED is widely seen as the next big leap in display technology because it would bring image quality to the next level, while requiring less power. OLED can also be used to create exotic light fixtures. Samsung and Sony also plan to introduce 40″ OLED TVs next year.
