Resistive Touch Panel Detects Up To 9 Points

Just before you get too impressed with Apple’s multitouch display and touchpads on a myriad of their devices, along comes Touchpanel Laboratories with a new resistive touch panel which supports multi-point detection for up to nine points. Currently, most devices like the iPhone use projection capacitive touch panels, but such ability is difficult to do so with resistive touch panels. Several resistive touch panels do support multi-touch operation, but this is the first to offer up to 9 points for far greater flexibility.
