
No idea why would anyone want to modify a Roomba with an extra mechanical arm that is able to pick stuff up from the floor, delivering it to you at waist height (dogs can fetch papers if that’s what you’re thinking of modding your Roomba for…), as it is just plain impractical, where a much better option is having you pick the stuff up yourself in the first place. Initial trials have shown the new system to be 95% effective when dealing with objects of various sizes and shapes.
