
The upcoming Samsung Alias 2 will be out this May 11th, doing away with the rather cramped dual QWERTY numeric keyboard found on its predecessor while featuring a brand new dynamic electronic ink keyboard touted as the “Magic Keypad”. The Alias 2 will retain the original’s slim form factor though, and will retail for a mere $79.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and two-year contract. If you decide to settle for a one-year contract instead, it will cost $149 after a $50 mail-in-rebate while those who want the phone straight upfront can get theirs for $249 without being bound by any contract.
