Rumors persist that both the PS3 Slim and PSP Go are actually real items, although they won’t be released as planned. The PS3 Slim might not make it in time for an E3 announcement since it wouldn’t ship until August or September, as Sony wants to clear up existing stocks before replacing the full size models. As for the PSP Go, that ought to be announced at E3 as planned, but it will exist alongside the PSP-3000 for a while at least to see how market forces react, and also to avoid abandoning its traditional game format completely with the PSP Go’s UMD-less “feature”.
