Some people find it an affront to trade-in or even sell their games despite finishing the title for the umpteenth time, while others use it to finance future game purchases without breaking the bank each time. Wal-Mart caters to the latter group, and is currently testing an automated video game trade-in kiosk at 77-stores all over the Northeastern United States. Gamers will be able to redeem “the trade-in value back to a credit card, which takes 2-3 days, according to the instructions on the company’s website.” All you need to do is scan the bar code on the game box so that you can receive a quote. When the quote is accepted, the game discs must be inserted before other steps are taken accordingly. Hopefully Wal-Mart will offer competitive trade-in values to make the whole experience worth it.
