Ylight Makes Tire Changing A Snap

For those who travel frequently, it can be quite a drag when a tire goes flat – especially during the night. If only the Ylight from designer André Monteiro was realized for the mass consumer market – it is inspired by a lantern and takes on a “Y” form factor that holds a trio of lights that work independently, allowing you to control the intensity, focus and direction according to the way you like it. Each of these lamps will come with a rotational axis of approximately 45-degrees along the horizontal plane, making it possible to direct the light to different places. All three of these torches are autonomous, and are powered by kinetic energy. In order to juice it up, press the indicator at the center with a finger, spin it a couple of times and you’re good to go.
