Acer Eco-Friendly LCD Monitors

Acer has just unveiled a couple of eco-friendly LCD monitors in Japan that are said to reduce power consumption by up to 36% compared to its predecessors. Either its predecessors guzzle a whole lot of juice or the engineers at Acer have done a bang up job with this one. Available in 19″ and 22″ formats, the Acer V193WBbmd and Acer V223WBbmd will share similar features such as a 5ms response time, 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 300cd/m2 brightness. The former will have a resolution of 1,440 x 900 while the latter handles a much higher 1,680 x 1,050 resolution. They are priced at $185 and $236, respectively.
