Always Innovating has released its Touch Book tablet which not only offers a superior touchscreen interface, it comes with a detachable keyboard as well, powered by Linux OS without costing a bomb with its $300 price point. So far the device photos look pretty much similar to the dummy shell that was released back in March, and it is tipped that they will ship sometime later next month in July 2009. For folks who want to place a pre-order, there’s still a chance to do so, where you can top up another $100 to bring home a keyboard with you as well. Hardware wise, the Touch Book tablet will feature the following :-
- Texas Instruments OMAP3530 processor
- 256MB RAM
- 256MB flash memory
- 8.9″ touchscreen display at 1,024 x 600 resolution
- SD memory card slot
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
- Cirque Touchpad
- 3D accelerometer
- Seven USB ports (!)
