AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet Dual TV Tuner

AVerMedia has just rolled out its AVerTVHD Duet dual TV tuner in North America, and it is nice to know that this is a Windows 7-compatible product that is able to handle over-the-air HD Digital TV signals (ATSC) or unencrypted digital cable (ClearQAM). In addition to that, it is also capable of recording a couple of programs simultaneously, or even allow you to record one program while watching another to make sure you get your summer’s worth of passive entertainment. For folks who like a little something in the background while working, the Picture-in-Picture feature lets you work while watching TV on a smaller window. Heck, we have no idea how much work will get done in this method, but to each his/her own. Each $90 purchase comes with AVer’s MediaCenter application that enables PVR-like features such as pausing, rewinding and recording live TV as well as a program schedule and time shift capabilities.
