Elektrobit is certainly going to make the most out of Computex by introducing a reference design for its MID that will be based on the Intel Moorestown platform. This design targets both wireless and PC OEMs who are on the lookout for a MID design which is highly customizable to fit just about any need. You will find touchscreen capability, haptic feedback as well as 3D support in this reference design, alongside HDMI out, voice and text support, Instant Messaging, navigation capability and social networking connectivity among others. Let’s hope that manufacturers will be able to coax the most out of this puppy.
