Nintendo might be riding high with their phenomenal Wii and DS sales figures at this moment, but that doesn’t mean the 100-plus year old company did not make any mistakes in the past. The Game Boy Camera was one of them, but an enterprising developer has decided to revive this hardware by churning out a software known as GB Camera for the iPhone, converting just about any photo you take using the iPhone’s camera into the classic Game Boy Camera resolution and color scheme. Not only that, you get modern features thrown in like upscaling to 1,600 x 1,200 resolution, an adjustable brightness and contrast and the option to turn off dithering for an even blockier look.
