Rip Curl has a new battery-heated wetsuit known as the H-bomb, where a couple of 120g, 7.4-volt batteries are the “engines” behind the network of heated carbon fiber conductor coils that will help you remain warm when underwater. As with any self-respecting wetsuit, it was specially developed by surfers and researchers for kindred spirits, testing it out in the freezing wastes like Norway and the Arctic Circle. At $1,000 a pop, it had better do its job right!
