Panasonic wants to claim another “world’s lightest” title with the announcement of the HDC-SD10 and HDC-TM10 camcorders, tipping the scales at a mere half pound – now that’s insanely light if you’ve ever held any camcorders of yore! The HDC-SD10 will make sure all your memories are digitized on its SD/SDHC memory card, while the HDC-TM10 will have 8GB of internal memory for you to fill up first before it starts to look for the presence of an SD/SDHC memory card within. Shared specifications include Advanced Optical Image Stabilization for better looking home-made videos as well as 16x optical zoom for moments where you need to get closer to the action but can’t do so physically. Panasonic also ensures you won’t miss a moment when shooting as both devices boast a 1.9-second “Quick Power-On” mode, shipping this September where the HDC-SD10 will retail for $550 while the HDC-TM10 is going for $50 more.
