PS3, Xbox 360 Price Drop Rumor – Again

There’s a huge interest in a potential price drop because games are getting increasingly better (and nicer) on Sony’s platform. However, for all the past predictions of a price drop, nothing really showed up. All the pre-E3 rumors were fluff, although we also recognize that the second half of the year is a smarter time to cut prices.

Ars Technica claims to have inside information about such a plan, and indicates that a sign of things to come will be a reduction in inventory in the coming weeks. The PS3 Slim might finally surface. The Xbox 360 should also see its price go down, although this is only speculation at this point. All we know for sure is that the price cuts will come, eventually.
