Samsung has announced that it has sold 2M Samsung Jet handsets in pre-orders alone. This represents the largest handset order ever for Samsung. The Jet is a distant cousin of the OMNIA. It runs Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, but it has very modern capabilities like a 800Mhz processor and a WVGA AMOLED display, two features that are superior to the iPhone 3GS. The Samsung Jet will also have a web browser based on Webkit (like the iPhone and the G1), a 5MP camera and more…
That said, it runs Windows Mobile 6.1, which is definitely not a dream touch-phone OS. But it will hopefully be upgradable to WM 6.5. Can we do a display transplant to an iPhone 3GS?
