SanDisk will be targeting netbooks with their second generation of low cost SSDs, known as the pSSD P2 and S2 SSDs. Both models offer vRPM (virtual revolutions per minute) of approximately 9,000, which places them higher up the hierarchy by nearly double compared to regular 5,400RPM hard drives. In addition, these new SanDisk SSDs will feature a new technology known as nCache that will allocate up to 320MB of hard drive space, enabling caching of random write commands to produce a faster, more reliable performance. These SSD modules will ship from today onwards, coming in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.
