Seagate has released yet another line of hard drives under the FreeAgent Go banner, making it the first 640GB capacity portable hard drive that will arrive in the USB-powered 2.5″ form factor. This translates to a whole lot of storage space without having to lug around yet another power brick on your travels. While USB 2.0 is great for plug and play, the data transfer speed isn’t exactly stellar when you compare it to other connectivity options especially eSATA. We hope that Seagate will release further details concerning its pricing and availability for the FreeAgent Go in a bit.
