Sony Ericsson W995a To Hit US This Summer

Looking for a new handset to match your summer wardrobe? Sony Ericsson hopes you’ll gravitate towards their W995a that ought to be out just a couple of days after ID4, but be prepared to dig deep for this puppy – it costs a whopping $599.99 unlocked, and doesn’t even have any bling factor. To make things worse, no US carrier is offering the handset, hence the astronomical price you need to pay. Some of the specifications for the Sony Ericsson W995a include :-

  • Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
  • Tri-band UMTS/HSPA connectivity (850/1800/1900 MHz)
  • 2.6″ QVGA scratch-resistant display
  • 8.1-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and smile shutter
  • A-GPS navigation
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with A2DP connectivity
  • 3.5mm headset jack
  • 8GB M2 memory card

Hmmm, guess the M2 memory card slot is not ditched yet.
