Toshiba Unveils Updated Portable Hard Drives

Toshiba has rolled out a new range of portable hard drives that will feature new system backup functionality in addition to password-protected encryption for a greater level of security to prevent snooping eyes from prying into your digital thoughts. The drives will ship with these pre-laoded software that works equally well in either Mac or Windows environments. The included NTI BackupNow EZ software allows users to backup the whole system as well as restore the complete system even if Windows fails to boot up. The Windows and Mac Toshiba drives will come with password-protected security with up to 256-bit encryption, while its Drive Space Alert feature lets you know when it is time to perform some digital spring cleaning. You can choose from white, blue, green and red colors, where the 320GB and 500GB models are going for $120 and $150, respectively.
