Rumor has it that Twitter might want to harness its extremely large user base and current popularity by charging businesses to verify their accounts – definitely the easy way out when it comes to making a quick profit. After all, the microblogging site has long been seeking for means and ways to create revenue, so this could potentially be a first step. Interestingly enough, don’t you think that most people are slanted towards free stuff, but when one has to pay, said person will either try to find a way around it (music and movie piracy is a good example) or just ditch purchasing it? What do you think about Twitter’s moves in this matter – are they heading towards the right direction?
