Verizon Wireless USB1000 Global Modem

Verizon Wireless has just announced its latest addition, the USB1000 Global Modem that will enable subscribers to access 3G wireless networks within the US as well as when traveling overseas. The radios found on-board comprise of 800/1900 EVDO Rev. A, quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band 850/1900/2100MHz WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA. Manufactured by Novatel, the USB1000 will retail for $150 after a mail-in rebate as well as signing up for a new agreement. Currently, Verizon will offer a few plans with the USB1000 with prices such as $130 monthly that provides a global roaming plan, 5GB of data in the US and 100MB abroad. Folks who want more can opt for the $220 monthly plan that offers double the amount of foreign roaming. This service will be available online from tomorrow onwards.
