It seems that heavily discounted Windows 7 upgrades that went up for pre-order on Friday in Japan are now sold-out, amounting to a grand total of 30,000 copies – pretty impressive! We do know that 17 retailers were involved in the pre-order sales, and in good faith will have to presume that they do not have any vested interest in trying to inflate perceptions on behalf of Microsoft. Pretty interesting then, as this could be a good sign for the upcoming Windows 7, showing that people still have faith in Microsoft despite the fiasco that is Windows Vista.
