The Avatar Digital Binocular Sports and Spy Camera is one these oddities that you can see coming from China. It’s a gadget that starts from a good idea (who doesn’t love powerful magnification?) but ends up with a bitter taste of poor implementation. We can’t be too harsh, because we have not tried it for ourselves, but how good can the picture be with a lens this size and a 21x zoom?
May be there’s a “broke pervert” niche market for it, but at least, you’ll find a familiar interface that “inspired” by Apple’s iPhone. If someone has images taken with this camera, could you post a link in the comments? Starts at $128… [via redferret]
