The Apple Daily, a newspaper written in Chinese, reports that Acer is readying a Netbook that comes with Windows XP and Android. Upon a reboot, users can choose which operating system they want for the next session. Competitors like Asus or MSI are also said to be preparing Android-friendly products, but Acer might come to market first.
Right now, it’s hard to see what real value Android brings to a laptop other than booting faster than Windows XP. It’s free, so at least trying it doesn’t cost anything to buyers.
