Word on the street has it that Google’s Android operating system could see action in the next generation of the Mintpass Mintpad, further enhancing an already pretty metal chassis accompanied by a more generous display, WiBRO connectivity and GPS navigation. According to an account executive at Mintpass, he mentioned that “such things are being discussed for the second generation mintpad, but nothing is set for sure. I can tell you that the next generation Mintpad will be quite high in specification, though.” What do you think? Will Android make a bow there and then?

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
