Asus and Acer to stop netbook flood

Looks like Asus finally realized that there are more than enough netbooks going around in the market at this moment, leading them to share a similar philosophy with Acer – both companies will not be introducing any more netbooks for the year, and this could also be seen as a case to prepare for a 2010 barrage as Intel plans on launching its entry-level products including the Pine Trail-M platform sometime in the first quarter of next year. Do you find this a relief, or are you disappointed that there aren’t any more netbooks from either party for the rest of the year? Hopefully other manufacturers won’t stop, otherwise we would have less interesting news of new products to report…
