An European team has decided to make our clothes all the smarter by including sensing devices into the textiles directly, where these garments are smart enough to monitor various external factors such as the user’s heart, breathing and body temperature, resulting in garments that are able to be of use in the healthcare environment as it will enable patients to reduce their hospital visits while enabling one to lead a more careful yet active lifestyle. All data from the sensors are sent through a mobile connection to caregivers, enabling doctors to remotely check up on their patients and perform the relevant “lecturing” as and when required.
