
Zogenix recently received FDA approval for its single use DosePro device, which is basically a needle-free system that helps deliver sumatriptan, a drug that is often prescribed for migraine sufferers. The DosePro sends its package through the skin for a faster effect compared to a tablet. Zogenix has very good reason to believe that their DoesPro system could potentially function as a replacement for needle-based injectable forms of sumatriptan in the future, alongside both oral and nasal spray triptans.
