Air conditioners are notorious power suckers, and just when you thought that there is no redemption for such an appliance, along comes the Frost solar-powered air conditioner. Designed by Philip Stankard, this conceptual appliance relies on stored solar energy to power its fans, where refrigerator freezer energy is utilized to provide a source of low temperature for the fans’ breeze to circulate into your home. Nice to see something that basks under the sun throughout the entire day come with a redeeming aspect by being solar-powered. There is no word on whether this concept will ever make it to the real world or not, but we sure as heck hope so.
