iPhone encryption called 'useless' by an iPhone developer

“I don’t think any of us [developers] have ever seen encryption implemented so poorly before, which is why it’s hard to describe why it’s such a big threat to security.”

That’s what Jonathan Zdziarski, an iPhone developer and a lead iPhone hacker known as “NerveGas”, has to say about the security implementation on the iPhone. The news comes as Apple announced that businesses are buying iPhone by the tens of thousands, including governmental organizations.

While we doubt that the security issues would not be a problem to most consumers, businesses might want to take a look at Jonathan Zdziarski’s arguments before making an educated choice. Head to Wired to check the whole story.
