Lexmark is launching its touch-panel connect printer line. The new line does not have an official name yet but the products will cost between $199 and $399. The printers are touted to be simpler to use, thanks to their touch screens. The connectivity aspect has to do with the ability to read RSS feed and receive emails. While we’re not sure if we would subscribe to RSS feeds on a printer, being able to email something might come in handy in a small business environment, especially for visitors who can’t get on the secure network (what would SPAM do, however?)
For more information, head to Lexmark’s announcement. Note that HP did something similar just last month.
